Today, June 15. 2024, we have honoured Private Monterville, his name is now added to the cenotaph, for evermore his name will be heard, year after year and our community will acknowledge and honour Private Monterville alongside his peers, the other sons of our community who also paid the ultimate sacrifice in WWI.
May we as citizens of Canada always stand up for the men and women of the Canadian armed forces during as well as after their service to our country.
May we never ever forget the sacrifices they made for us.
