On May 23rd, 2024, Canadian Legion Branch 240 held the Battle of the Atlantic ceremony at the waterside of the Old Town Hall. Honoured guests included Reviewing Officer Vice Admiral (Retired) Ronald Buck, CMM, CD, Navy Captain Andrew Graham, CD, Navy Captain Kelly Williamson, MMM,CD. Parade Marshall Mike Wiggins lead Legion representation from Almonte, Carleton Place and Kanata, Almonte Legion Pipe Band and members from the Royal Canadian Sea Cadets. Branch 240, PR John Dalgity, MC’d the event. Special thanks to all that participated in the event, including Mayor Christa Lowry, Reverend Mary Royal-Duczek, Parade Escort Deputy Fire Chief Justin Helmsley and the BOA Event Committee.
