Do you know anyone who may need a ride to get their vaccine?
The United Way of East Ontario has gladly stepped into the role of convening partners to enable access the Lanark Covid-19 Vaccination Clinics. We are working with the Health Unit to provide contact information, with transportation providers who have the vehicles and drivers to provide the return drives, and with our many community partners who are providing subsidy dollars. The goal is to work together to completely solve the transportation barrier that might exist for some folks of any age or social circumstance, and get them to clinics to get their jabs.
If anyone needs a ride, they are invited to call, and if anyone need a subsidy, one will be available thanks to generous community partners. Once the pop-up community clinics are determined by the Health Unit, rides will also be available to those sites as well as the two fixes sites in Almonte and Smiths Falls.
